Avatar: The way of water (2022)

Avatar
– The Way of Water, which won Best Picture at the 95th Academy Awards, has been
named one of the greatest films of all time. Also known as the best film of
2022 by organizations such as the National Board of Review and the American
Film Institute, this film is another science fiction adventure by
world-renowned experimental film director James Cameron. Although James
Cameron’s creations, which the world recognized through Titanic (1997), are a
handful, they are all milestones in the world of cinema. Among them, with the
huge success of the first Avatar movie in 2009, it was announced that he would
make five versions of it. Accordingly, the way of water can be introduced as
the second Avatar film created. It is also a film that was screened with the
20th-Century studio in a very successful way around the world, renewing all
revenue records as the first Avatar film.

Written
by James Cameron with Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman, Shane Salerno,
and Stephen Rivkin adapted the story; David Brenner; John Refoua; By James
Cameron himself. One of the most expensive films ever made in the world, it
earned a decent amount of revenue. A film that received highly positive reviews
on critic websites. Although some of the characters in the previous film are
repeated, the theme of the story is consistent with the previous film, but it
has not affected the freshness of the film. I would like to say again that the
conflict between humans and other anthropomorphic creatures with a strange
style of story is an incomparable film from the beginning to the end, even
though it is the main theme of the story.
If you’ve heard of or seen the first movie,
you know that James Cameron introduced a new language to the world for the Na’vi
tribe. It is also special that it has been used more intensively here. However,
the second sequel will be released after 12 years after the first film. The
reason for this is that it took time for the film crew to get used to and grasp
the enormous high-tech tricks used. However, the high-tech effects used here
while watching the aquatic scenes are enough to surprise us. Even though the
running time is quite long, i.e. 192 minutes long, it does not lose the
audience’s attention or become monotonous, so the viewers do not feel that time
is passing.

Although
I have no desire to diminish the value of the story by mentioning it here, I
thought I would give a brief overview of the story. If you watched the original
Avatar movie, you may remember Jake Sully. When the story unfolds 12 years
later, he is the head of the Omatikai clan in Pandora. He and Neythiri have a
beautiful family. Jake and Neithiri are parents to two sons and two daughters.
Neteyam and Lo’ak are boys. Tuk and Kiri are girls. Among them is Kiri, the
adopted daughter, who calls Grace Augusteen’s passive avatar. Spider, the human
son born on Pandora of the late Colonel Miles Quaritch, is being raised by the
scientists staying there. He is friends with Jake’s children. As these
relationships unfold like this, the Na’vi tribe is disturbed by a human
invasion again. led by Frances Ardmore this RDA Invasion Pandora is set to
become their colony with the Avatar of the Dead implanted with the memories of
dead soldiers. Among them is the reorganized Avtar of kernel Kanrich.
As
they need time to prepare for this invasion, Jake launches a guerilla campaign
against them. There Jake’s children are captured by Kanrich and the group and
Kanrich’s Avatar recognizes that the spider who was with them is his son. Jake
and Neytiri arrive and save the children, but Kanrich tries to lure the spider
to himself. After this incident, Jake realizes that the Omatikaya people are in
danger because of him, and he and his family seek refuge in the Metkaina clan,
who are spiritually connected to water.

There, Kiri connects spiritually with the sea. Omatikaya children get the opportunity to meet Thalkoons, a species of sea creatures like whales, who are considered spiritual brothers of the Metkaina clan. Kanrich and others come to find the Jake family through the spider. I won’t tell you what happens next. Because every second of the movie is interesting, I think you should watch and experience the most interesting and exciting scenes ahead.

You will realize that no one can match James Cameron’s talent. When you watch this, you have the opportunity to engage in emotional and visual enjoyment that you will never experience on the widescreen. It gives the perfect value to the audience who have waited twelve years since the first film. We can feel the coolness of the blue environment in which they live since they came to the Metkaina clan. The story, the show, the spirituality, etc., all aspects are Extremely captivating. Starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Edie Falco, Jemaine Clement, Giovanni Ribisi, Kate Winslet’s contribution is also excellent. The remarkable aspect lies in how profoundly the notion of families is linked to this movie. Where all the underwater scenes are full of mind-blowing actions. Let me stop, by inviting you to add this science fiction to your cinema collection, where love, curiosity, and horror are all found in one film.
Thank you.
